Modern sculptures of Belgorod
1. " The Controller"
The monument was erected legendary traffic policeman — Police sergeant Paul Kirillovich Grechikhin. He became famous for being completely incorruptible and highly principled. Paul K. was a passionate fighter against reckless drivers. Despite the high rank and position, he wrote out fines to drivers of senior officials in the same way as a conventional car drivers. In Belgorod legends that the inspector stopped the car and the first secretary of the Party Committee and the head of the regional traffic police, and a visiting general from Moscow, fined their relatives, friends, neighbors, and even himself.
The monument was designed by sculptor A.Shishkov.
2. "Dreams Come True"
This sculpture was the first of a series of unusual genre of urban sculpture in Belgorod. A girl stands on its inflated bladder, which has become a symbol of our deepest desires. 3. " The yard keeper"

7. “The Shuttles"
T.Kostenko and young sculptor from Kharkov D.Ivanchenko managed to create a collective image of the first entrepreneurs, who in early 90s made their contribution to the development of a modern economy.
The place chosen for the sculpture by chance near the central market and department store "Belgorod". In the bronze figures with bags and trunks on wheels people learn first-hand dealers merchants — those whom the people called "shuttle traders".
The sculpture is a symbol of the transition from the old to the new life. There is a sign: Cart Wheel symbolizes the Wheel of Fortune, and if it is to twist and make a wish, it will surely come.
8. "Family and Motherhood"
Taras Kostenko was the author of the monument. He portrayed a happy normal family that is photographed for the family album. The entire composition consists of six figures: parents, three children and an antique camera.
Inauguration of the monument took place on 12 December 2008 (in the year of the family in Russia), and the honor of cutting the red ribbon was provided by the family Potapov — the winner of the regional contest "Strong family — strong Russia."
9. "My first teacher"
This bronze sculpture — a kind of gift to all the teachers of the city. Composition is set at the People's Boulevard, next to the Lyceum 9 — one of the oldest educational institutions in the city. 10. " The stonecutter "

12. “The gymnastics"

The author of the sculpture "Gymnast" (official name) is an Honored Artist of Russia Anatoliy Shishkov. The bronze sculpture depicts an athlete during the execution of exercises on the balance beam.
