Вступление:стихотворение “Thanksgiving”, сопровождении презентаций открыток при помощи проектора.

Pupil 1:

The year has turned its circle,

The seasons come and go.

The harvest all is gathered in

And chilly north winds blow.

Orchards have shared their treasures,

The fields, their yellow grain,

So open wide the doorway –

Thanksgiving comes again!

T.: Good afternoon, dear boys and girls. Do you remember that on the 4th Thursday in November the Americans will celebrate Thanksgiving Day? It’s their national holiday.

Today our two teams: the Pilgrims and the Indians are going to take part in the competition and try their chances to win the game. They’ve prepared their own presentations. Let's listen. Учащиесяпредставляют приветствия.

As you know the turkey is a symbol of Thanksgiving Day. For each right answer you’ll get it. The team which has more turkeys than other one will be a winner.

Основнаячасть:

Let’s remind the history of this festival. Look at the presentation prepared by the student of the 8th form. Be attentive: after the presentation you’ll answer the questions.
