We have a revision- lesson. Today we are going to talk about the English weather, climate and seasons. We’ll learn much new facts about England and we can compare the weather in England and in Russia. I hope that it will be interesting for you. T: At first, open your exercise-books, write the date and topic of our lesson- «The weather in England». 3. Введение новой информации по теме «The weather in England». T: England is famous your fogs and steady rains. It is not a large country. And all towns in England are near the sea. There are no high mountains in England, no long rivers and no large forests. But there are many fields and meadows in England. The climate is mild. T: Do you understand what about I said? And now let’s listen Max’s report about England. P 1: The climate of England is the mildest and the dampest in the United States of Great Britain, because the mountains and the warm waters of the Gulf Stream influence the climate. T: So, the weather in England is very changeable. A fine morning can change into a wet afternoon and evening. And a nasty morning can change to a fine afternoon. Englishmen use the comparison «as changeable as the weather» of a person who often changes his mood or opinion about something. English weather has many surprises, therefore Englishmen also say «Other countries have a climate, in England we have weather».
