  • Goodmorning, children! I’mgladtoseeyou! How are you? I think you are OK! I’m Olga Vladimirovna. I see your names on badges, so we can start working together. But I have one rule. I want you to smile. So, please look at each other and say «cheese». That’s right! Children listen to me and say what we are going to speak about?

    Today we’ll speak about what we like to eat, we’ll repeat the words, check up your homework, learn new expressions and we’ll do different kind of exercises.

    The Earl (граф) of Sandwich lived in the 18thcentury. He liked playing cards for money. He often played day and night. Once he played for 24 hours running. Servants (слуги) brought him food — some meat and some bread. The Earl didn't want to stop playing while he ate. He put some meat between two pieces of bread! In this way he could play without stopping for eating. From the name of this man the word SANDWICHcame into being.
