I.Организационный момент.

II.Сообщение цели урока.

Today we have a lot of guests here. They are excellent at English. They are strict and fair. And they want us to show the right English language to them that`s why we should be very attentive.

But first, listen to me! Today we shall have a talk about a person who never lets you down when you need him/her & a feeling that can last forever.

III.Работа с сонетом.

Are you ready to start? Have a look at the screen & at your sheets of paper which are in front of you. You can see a sonnet here & there. Do you remember what a sonnet is? A sonnet is a poem consisting of fourteen lines. I hope that the sonnet will help you to guess what it means «a person who always cheers you up when you are in trouble».

IV.Раскрытиетемыурока.

Look through the sonnet & say what word is missing here. You are quite right. Now let`s read the sonnet aloud to our guests. As you have already guessed during our lesson we are going to talk about friends & friendship.And the theme of our lesson is «What is a friend?» «What is friendship?». By the end of our lesson I am sure that you will be able to give true answers to these questions.

V.Работасидиомой.

Let`s return to the sonnet again. I should be interested to know how you understand the idiom « a fair- weather friend»? Try to explain it to us in English.

Could you tell me what the antonym of «a fair-weather friend» is? That`s it.

VI.Заполнение и озвучивание кластеров.

Pay your attention to the screen! Here are two spidergrams on the screen . The spidergram «What is a true friend?» is for the first team to fill in. The spidergram «What is a fair-weather friend?» is for the second team to fill in. X.Технология«мини-сага».

Our lesson goes on. The following task is to make up a short story on these pictures, they are on the screen, give the title & the ending to the story. Let`s read the beginning of the story.

XI.Составление«синквейна».

You will have to compose a «sink wane». Look at the structure of it. The first group should make up a «sinkwane» on the theme «Friendship» & the second one on the theme «Friend». You`ll have … minutes for the task.
