Краткое описание: — Работа представляет собой расписание урока, раздаточный материал и презентацию к уроку английского языка по теме «Экология». Презентация может быть использована на работе с учащимися на уроке для повторения,закрепления и обобщения знаний по указанной теме, так вдобавок на качестве внеклассного мероприятия.

Урок — кросс «Экологический марафон» для учащихся 7 класса.
Цели:
Учебные – синтез лексического и грамматического материала по теме «Экология», уширение и закалывание знаний по теме, шлифование навыков учащихся на чтении и говорении.
Развивающие – течение логического мышления, внимания, памяти, умения работать на группе.
Воспитательные – умножение интереса к изучению английского языка, патронат доброго отношения к природе.

Ход урока.
Учитель: Dear boys and girls! Today we`ll have a competition on the topic “Ecology”. You have formed two teams. Who are the captains of your teams? Introduce your teams. (Капитаны представляют свои команды).
And now let me introduce our jury. They are the pupils from the 11th form. Before we begin our competition, let`s repeat the words. Say after me, please. (Слайд 3).

4. Acid rains are dangerous for the atmosphere. 5. When you throw away a newspaper or a magazine, you are throwing away some part of a tree. 6. If you travel by bus instead of a car, you save more energy. 7. Using filters in cars and buses makes air cleaner. 8. When you burn things in the yard, you produce a lot of carbon dioxide. 9. Some sprays can do a lot of harm to the atmosphere. 10. People try to plant trees wherever they want them.

— Задание 6. There are two mixed up stories here. Put the pieces right and make up the two stories giving each a title. (Каждой команде предлагаются листы с текстами.)
— 1. This theory answers all the questions. Scientists are still asking questions and try to explain why so many plants and animals become extinct. It`s one of the oldest mysteries in the world, and it may never be solved.
2. In1900 many zoos had passenger pigeons. On 14 September, 1908 the last wild passenger pigeon was caught near Detroit. Martha, the last living passenger pigeon in the world, died on the1st of September in 1914. Her body is placed in a museum in Washington, D.C.
3. Many of them think that a change in climate caused it. But what could cause such a change in climate? Some scientists say that an asteroid fell on the earth 65 million yeas ago. A huge cloud of dust rose into the sky. There was no sunlight. Temperatures became very low, and without sunlight, plants died. The dinosaurs died from hunger and freezing.
4. In the 18th and 19th centuries there were millions of beautiful passenger pigeons in the United States and Canada. A visitor from Holland wrote, in 1625, that there were so many pigeons that the sky was dark with them and no sun was seen. Today, not a single passenger pigeon is alive.
5. Dinosaurs lived on the earth for over 140 million yeas. Then, suddenly, 65 million years ago, all the dinosaurs died, and most of the other animals and plants died along with them. Over 75 per cent of life on earth became extinct. For more than 150 years scientists have tried to find out why.
6. The passenger pigeon was one of the largest and most beautiful members of the pigeon family. It was about forty-five cm long, had narrow wings and a long graceful neck. Its tail was twenty cm long and was silvery white. The head was dark blue and the neck was gold and green and purple. (Ключ на слайдах 12, 13).
После каждого конкурса навареа предоставляется жюри. В конце соревнования подводятся итоги, и награждается команда победитель.
